»Our "Student Architects Competition" led to a depth of communication with our target group which we could never have achieved with an advertising campaign on a similar budget. As a bonus, our constructive commitment has been appraised. Planning and organisation of the competition were regarded as exemplary. Thanks to RADWAN PR.«
Urs Hsler, TORMAX, Sales Manager Germany

"Construct collapsibles", so the motto of the architectural design students' campaign promoted by TORMAX, the Swiss manufacturer of door automation, during the summer semester of 2003.

The task, i.e. a mobile architectural exhibit variable in shape and volume as well as the space programme, was set by the University of Stuttgart, Chair 2 of the Institute for Building Construction and Design.

Patron of the competition was Carl Elsener junior, great-grandson of the inventor of the most successful Swiss collapsible: As early as 1897, Carl Elsener developed the Swiss army knife Victorinox. The opened pocket-knife "Cybertool" symbolizes the motto on all competition documents and posters: Construct collapsibles!

Every chair for architecture and design of all universities and polytechnics throughout Germany had been contacted and provided with competition documents. The engrossing and target group oriented task even found entrance into some of the lectures. A further incentive for active participation in the contest was the top-class jury.

The winners were invited to the award ceremony in Zurich.

The competition was used as a PR theme for its duration.
